Surplus Optics has a range of Zinc Selenide (ZnSe) lenses. ZnSe is transparent from 0.6µm up to 20µm allowing for efficient transmission of IR wavelengths. With a low absorption, high refractive index homogeneity, and high damage threshold, Zinc Selenide is ideal in laser systems, specifically CO2 lasers. Another benefit is its transmission down to 600nm, meaning it will also transmit a HeNe alignment laser used alongside a CO2 laser.
